About Jeannie Krull

Jeannie Krull, MS/CCC-SLP, ATP, CAPS is the Assistant Executive Director of ND Assistive (formerly IPAT). She is an ASHA-certified speech/language pathologist, RESNA-certified Assistive Technology Professional (ATP), and Certified Aging In Place Specialist (CAPS) who has worked with people with disabilities of all ages since 1991. Ms. Krull is the past Chair of the national Association of Assistive Technology Act Programs and is a 2019 Bush Foundation Fellow. She is currently the Aging and AT Strand Manager for the Assistive Technology Industry Association (ATIA), as well as a member of the US Aging Family Caregiver Workgroup and the US Aging Commit to Connect Advisory Committee.Ms. Krull spent the first part of her career working for a private practice as a speech-language pathologist, specializing in many areas in multiple settings including schools, hospitals, and nursing homes. During that time, she also worked on the Learning Disabilities Team in MN and the Cleft Palate Team in ND. In 2000, Ms. Krull joined ND Assistive (formerly IPAT), as an assistive technology (AT) coordinator/funding policy specialist and eventually as Assistant Executive Director. She currently administers ND Assistive’s federal and state contracts and fee-for-service, as well as, provides supervision, input, guidance, and decision-making for the entire company including budgeting, programming, data collection and submission, fundraising, and marketing.In addition, Ms. Krull presents nationally on many assistive technology-related topics including the benefits of using assistive technology (AT) to age in place, expand the workforce, and live independently, as well as, AT devices, programs, funding, and much more. She continues to help other professionals build their AT skills, so they can help people of all ages throughout the region find AT solutions.Her most recent work consists of helping to establish a program, through Money Follows the Person funding, to build assistive technology capacity in rural areas through the use of Assistive Technology device kits and rural Ambassadors. She is also currently working to help build Assistive Technology Services by changing policies and procedures within the ND Medicaid Waiver programs to help people live and thrive where they choose.
