I joined the Southface Commercial Sustainability Services team in 2013, after a long history of working with Southface as both a volunteer and a consultant. During my tenure at Southface, I completed energy & water assessments on more than seven million square feet of commercial and institutional facilities leading to annual utilities cost savings of $2.1 million and several awards for Southface and our clients.

Key Clients:City of Atlanta, Division of Sustainability – 2009-2012: Energy analyst reporting to the Director of Sustainability. Data analysis and reporting covered $70 million annual utilities budget for 27 million sq. ft. of municipal facilities. Scope of project development included identification of opportunities, conducting environmental and business case analyses, coordination with city leaders and community partners, and providing technical and management support during project implementation. Southface Energy Institute: Provided technical support for special projects, including: Energy Star certifications (Southface Eco-Office), LEED services (including 2009 LEED Existing Buildings: O&M certification of 700,000 sq. ft. Philips Arena), and energy and water audits of commercial, light industrial, institutional, and governmental facilities. Westminster Schools - 2009-2012: Member of Westminster’s Sustainability Committee and Energy Team, implementing recommendations from a campus-wide energy and water audit, greenhouse gas emissions analysis, and strategic implementation plan completed in 2009. Woodruff Arts Center: Southface Associate & Member of Woodruff Arts Center’s Energy Team (2007-2011), implementing recommendations from an ASHRAE Level-1 energy audit completed in 2007. Responsibilities included analysis of potential energy efficiency, renewable energy, and conservation projects. Energy and water costs savings from completed projects ranged from 17 to over 58 percent in campus facilities. Central State Hospital, State of Georgia - 1988-2011: Engineering consultant to Central State Hospital for 22 years. Calculated and reported on emissions and fuels for Title V compliance. Project management and annual capital budget programming documentation for more than two million square feet of facilities, including scope development, project cost estimates, and calculations of related energy, water, emissions, and costs savings.
