Extracurricular project where we work on the creation of a retractable cart capable of overcoming different obstacles and propelled by human power. I have been responsible of organize and managed an engineering team composed of 38 members to compete on the 2022 NASA Human Exploration Rover Challenge

Responsible for planning and organizing the suspension department to design, analyze, manufacture, and assembling a lighter suspension system for the all-terrain rover. Reducing weight has been the main objective in the team, as a result, the upper A-arms of rover 1 were manufactured with Aluminum 6061 reducing weight by 15%.

Required to implement a weight reduction to the wheels department in order to improve rover one’s performance. Analyzed and manufactured carbon fiber wheels, achieving a total weight reduction of 55%, when compared with the previous design.
