After 7 years as a professional Android developer I wanted to move toward management for getting new goals and responsibilities. I'm now a Team Lead for the "Onboard" department at Entur. I bring a blend of technical expertise, leadership, and thrive for innovation and successful mobile solutions. Over the past year, I've led a great team of developers, guiding them through the entire software development lifecycle, from concept and design to deployment and maintenance.Key Responsibilities:- Leadership & Mentorship: I work with a team of four Android developers, two backend developers, and a product owner. I provide mentorship, performance and quality reviews, and create a collaborative environment.- Project Management: I have to prioritize the goals of the team from weekly/monthly tasks to quarterly company-wide objectives (both with OKR). It implies coordination and communication with multiple teams in Entur, maintaining development on track with timelines and deadlines as well as reporting to Entur leadership.- Technical Expertise: Everything between designing the general architecture of a feature to code review, leveraging the latest technologies and best practices in Android development.- Quality Assurance: Implement robust testing procedures to ensure code quality, reliability, and performance, consistently meeting or exceeding industry standards.- Stakeholder Collaboration: We regularly talk with our users which means a good amount of communication with external parties, planning meetings and "field-trip" as we call it.But also internal designers and management in Entur.Achievements so far :- Raising the crash-free rate of our app by ~30%.- Refactoring of the bank terminal integration.- Eliminating several critical bugs in the code base.- Bringing the app to modern standardon the technical level.

The main project I work on every day is a smart home app on Android with features like automatic management of the heating, smart door locks, or visualization of electricity consumption based on several criteria. I pushed for several refactoring across the app to update the code base and make our job easier for implementing new features that came/will come in the future. I am also responsible for moving the architecture of both android and iOS apps from complete independent code bases to a shared architecture through the use of Kotlin Multiplatform for the new features. I do work a bit on the iOS app too from time to time, either to help out on new features integration or to demonstrate how to use the new shared codebase to the rest of the iOS team.The second app I have worked on is Vibbo for Obos, available on the Play Store. I was responsible for the architecture and the code in general, it was written from scratch in collaboration with the web team due to the heavy usage of web views. The app is the equivalent of a specialized Facebook for Norwegian “borretslag”, it is used by thousands of people throughout the country.The last one is an android TV app running on Telia’s tv box. My role involved maintenance and development of new features like the integration of HBO max and data tracking for analysis. I started by working on new features limited to a few screens to get familiar with the codebase. I participated in the re-design of the app that was released before summer 2017, and the tv app before Christmas 2017. I was later on involved in much more critical parts of the app like the queue system of the player. I implemented a complete refactoring of how the app handles playable content from listening to an artist's top songs to playlists through Google Cast, Sonos systems, or Android Car. The app is available in many countries worldwide and is used by millions of users. I pushed for using Kotlin instead of Java for new features and was in charge of teaching it to other team members when necessary.Technologies: Android, Java, Kotlin, Retrofit, Room, RxJava, Android TV, Android Car.

I participated in the development of two apps, one for Cubus and one for Bikbok. Both apps were made with the same features: a feed listing company news like campaigns, discounts, or new collections coming out, a wallet of coupons earned by the users through a fidelity program, and a store locator with individual shop information. I worked in a bio-medical laboratory, in a team with other student, and especially one that was doing her master thesis. I had to create a computer vision system used for recording some data from the thesis experiments. The hypothesis of the experiments was about the relation between carpal syndrome and cinematic of fingers. The goal was to calculate the angle between each phalanx by putting some marks drawn with a pen on fingers and created a stereovision system that obtain the coordinates of this points in the 3d space relative to the cameras.Technologies : Labview, Labview Vision Module, Matlab.
