Dr. Jean-Yves Heurtebise is Assistant Professor at FuJen Catholic Univeristy in Taipei (Taiwan) in the Department of French & Associate Researcher in the French Center for Research on Contemporary China (法國現代中國研究中心) based in Hong-Kong & Taipei (Academia Sinica). He was Visiting Assistant Professor at National Dong Hua University (Department of Sociology and of Environmental Sciences) between 2012 and 2014, a Marie Curie Research Fellow at Tsinghua University in 2011-2012 & a Visiting Researcher at National Taiwan University (Department of Philosophy) in 2009-2011. He is also (with Emmanuel Dubois de Prisque) the Editor-in-Chief of the French peer-review Journal Monde Chinois Nouvelle Asie since August 2017. And a bi-monthly speaker at Radio Taiwan International (RTI) & a monthly contributing member of the French Think Tank Asie21 on Asian geopolitics.He was the Vice-Coordinator of a 588,000 EUR EU-FP7 project LIBEAC (Liberalism Between Europe And China) between 2012 & 2016. His two domains of research are 1. European-Chinese cross cultural representations 2. Environmental Philosophy & Sustainability. Since 2010, he has published 24 peer-reviewed articles and 14 book chapters on Comparative Cultural Studies, Comparative Politics and Environmental Philosophy.
