Currently serving as the Fire Marshal for Vernon Township Fire Department. In this role I oversee the Fire Prevention Division which consists of fire inspections, new construction inspections, building plan reviews, public education, and fire investigations. Additionally, I also oversee the Information Technology for the Fire Department and the Township.

Volunteer Firefighter/ Fire Inspector/ Fire Investigator

Currently I am a Fire Inspector and a Fire Investigator working under the Fishers Fire Marshal in the Division of Fire Prevention. My duties include:-Conducting annual fire inspections, re-inspections, and complaint inspections.-Conducting origin and cause fire investigations.-Conducting acceptance testing of fire detection and suppression systems.-Conducting new commercial construction inspections.-Conducting Certificate of Occupancy Inspections along with the building department.-Educating the public regarding safety and code related issues.-Training new recruits in topics related to Fire Prevention.-Assisting in maintaining the Departments inspection software, building and business list.

Was responsible for conducting various types of commercial construction inspections for the City of Fishers. These inspections would range from footer inspections at the beginning of a construction project all the way to Certificate of Occupancy Inspections. Commercial construction projects that were inspected ranged from small tenant finishes in a strip center complex to large scale, multi-story, mixed-use buildings. Was responsible for citing any code violations related to these inspection and ensuring proper repairs and corrections were made for safe construction and eventual occupancy of a building. Would also assist residential inspectors on various inspections, conduct temporary and permanent power inspections, and occasionally conduct erosion control inspections at constructions sites. Also was on an on-call rotation to perform emergency utility locates.

-Fire and Building Code Official *Gibson, Pike, and Warrick Counties April 2012- April 2014 *Hamilton County May 2014-March 2015-I-BEAM Team Member (November 2012- March 2015) *Conduct building assessments to determine how effected they may be after a disaster. *Member of the Command Staff working under Administration.-DFBS Education Committee Member (April 2014-March 2015)-Plan Reviewer (February 2014- March 2015) *Volunteer to help review building plans submitted to the State.

Was a mobile fire extinguisher technician from May 2008 thru September 2010. Conducted annual fire extinguisher inspections, monthly extinguisher inspections, recharged fire extinguishers and performed six year maintenance on fire extinguishers. Also inspected fire hoses, and inspected and tested exit and emergency lighting. Transferred full time to a stationed contractor at Eli Lilly Technology Center, maintaining inspections and maintenance on over 2900 units. Also maintained service for both the Technology Center and Corporate Center. Assisted in Fire Alarm testing and Eyewash/ Safety Shower Testing.
