To support the Integration team in building and maintaining the Service Layer between systems and vendors, I bring my drive for eliciting and clarifying how the systems should work and how best to meet the needs of our peer teams, source systems, and vendors. We are also leveraging a Confluence space to create an Integration Knowledge Base as a first-stop, self-service portal to understand why and how the services were built to meet the business needs efficiently. This work ties closely with the overall architecture and system design toward the corporate project of replacing our core systems.

Elected into this position by the general membership, I have taken this opportunity to review and refine the club knowledge base (a Google Drive location with event planning, barrel tracking, and meeting agenda/notes documents) while maintaining the social media and website presence. Monthly, I create and schedule posts to inform potential new members of the upcoming events and meeting topics so they will ideally join the club and I create and schedule email messages to the member-only email distribution list to keep everyone informed of what is going on. For the monthly meeting, I create the agenda in collaboration with the other club officers and I take notes during the meeting to capture ideas, take-aways, and topics to discuss further later.I bring my organizational and planning skills to the club to improve our knowledge management and make sure those interested in joining the club and current members have a clear picture of what is coming up.

I joined the Nordeast Brewers Alliance homebrew club for both the social connection and to improve my knowledge and skills in this hobby. The social connections have been fulfilling and I have learned immeasurable new techniques and experiences in this hobby.One of the tenets of the club is barrel-aging beer, both clean (spirits barrels, like barrel-aged imperial stout or barleywine) and sour (wine barrels, for lambic- and flanders-style sour beers). I host and steward the club Solera barrel, which is a 60-gallon wine barrel with pale sour base beer. I maintain the barrel by waxing the exterior for better protection, keeping it covered, and conducting quality control (sampling) at our quarterly barrel committee with the other 7-9 barrels active in the club. When the beer is ready, we brew a new batch, take out about a third of the beer -- usually put half of that on fruit -- bottle it for the club membership, and keep the barrel full with the newly brewed beer. It is an ongoing and satisfying project.The club also has two homebrew competitions each year. I have been involved in those to reach out to certified judges, have paperwork ready for the judging process, and collaborating with other members to coordinate the competition from marketing to bottle sort to judging. I am also a BJCP Certified beer judge, so I do help judge the competitions.

Our team was responsible for maintenance, support, disaster risk mitigation, and future planning toward efficiency in connecting company systems with external data vendors.With my previous experience within the line of business and with support roles on the technology team, I was able to leverage my hands-on experience with providing business context to technology needs, the work to be completed, and audience-specific demo and training of those systems.

As an analyst within the Flood Services team, I was able to facilitate work between department management, technical development team, and both internal and external business partners as a project manager, business analyst, and systems analyst to ensure data flow and data integrity remains at the highest quality.In this hands-on position, I created and ran recurring and ad-hoc reports for department leadership and worked with vendor systems on connectivity, business needs, and technical integration.This position was a half-step move from my previous role on the technology team of Wells Fargo Insurance supporting the Flood Services systems. From this experience, I was able to move to the Technology Manager role on the technology team again, continuing to support this business department.

These systems connect the company with external vendors for retrieving property data and keeping changes up-to-date in corporate systems to ensure compliance with monitoring and customer notification requirements.This position was a half-step move from my previous role with the Wells Fargo Insurance Call Center in supporting similar systems and provided me the business understanding to move to the Flood Services business team directly.

Working with the agents and support staff of Wells Fargo Insurance, our team provided first-level triage support of internal systems, vendor and carrier systems, and desktop support, creating support tickets and following-through to completion for the personal lines and commercial lines teams. As changes were made to internal, vendor, and carrier systems, we were the first to validate changes and provide user-acceptance testing along with creating and conducting user training before implementation.This role offered opportunity to work closely with the technology team for the internal systems, leading to my move within Wells Fargo Insurance to support the Flood Services department that was closely linked to the Call Center teams.

As a small team of technology support specialists within the customer service department, this role was responsible for supporting internal underwriters in-person and external agents via phone/email for in-house applications. As the lead worker, I would elicit the change specifications to meet underwriting policies and support procedures, work with the technology team on designing and validating the changes, and with the underwriting and customer service teams on deploying the changes.This role was my introduction to the insurance industry and gave me opportunity to understand business needs, internal and external user support, and hands-on experience with user-acceptance testing, quality assurance, and production deployment validation.
