Dr Jeb McAviney is a chiropractor with a special expertise in the clinical management of scoliosis.He holds both a Masters of Chiropractic and a Masters of Pain Medicine, and his sole clinical focus is the non-surgical treatment of scoliosis in children and in adults. Over the past decade he has dedicated himself to studying the numerous scoliosis rehabilitation and bracing techniques from around the world to understand, compare, and provide the most evidence-based approaches to combating this complicated condition.In 2024, Dr. Jeb McAviney was appointed as a Board Member of SOSORT. He has been actively involved with SOSORT for many years and previously organized the 2023 SOSORT International Congress in Melbourne, Australia.In 2010 Dr McAviney founded ScoliCare®. He is the inventor of ScoliBrace® (3D custom scoliosis brace) and ScoliBalance® (physiotherapeutic scoliosis specific exercise program).Dr. McAviney is an internationally recognised speaker, presenting at medical, scientific, chiropractic, and orthotic conferences in over 17 countries. He has published research in the Journal of Manipulative and Physiological Therapies and has presented research at the Scoliosis Research Society (SRS), IMAST, International Society for the Study of the Lumbar Spine (ISSLS), Society of Scoliosis and Orthopaedic Rehabilitation (SOSORT), International Congress of Lumbopelvic and Lower Back Pain and The World Federation of Chiropractic Congress. He is also an active member of The Spine Society of Australia, the Australian Chiropractic Association, The Royal Society of Medicine (RSM) and SOSORT. As well as being an active member of SOSORT Dr McAviney is part of the society’s scientific committee, and a reviewer for the European Spine Journal.
