System Administrator and Software Release Engineer for Tizen Started with Intel in September to work 50% as a system administrator and 50% as a release engineer for an open source project called Tizen. Within the first month, worked with 2 other system administrators to rack, install, and configure the entire hardware infrastructure to be accessed by both Intel and non-Intel developers around the world. The hardware consisted of 54 servers which included 20 virtual host servers housing 64 virtual machines running everything from the dns server to a mail server to an ldap server. The other 34 servers are open build service workers. Created many virtual servers using Xen. Maintained and upgraded these servers through iDRAC or a custom script. Installed and configured all of the software infrastructure consisting of Gerrit/Git, Hudson/Jenkins, Open Source Build Service, and 2 Intel internal applications.. Worked with local and remote engineers to troubleshoot and resolve issues with the software and hardware infrastructure. Configured Nagios for remote monitoring of the entire infrastructure. Installed and configured Apache and Nginx web servers to serve internal and external facing web sites.
