As well as providing high quality advice to my own clients, I work regularly with Accountants, Lawyers and, when it’s an area they don’t specialise in themselves, other financial advisers to support people’s financial needs. As we hold the specialist licences for this type of advice whilst they may not, financial advisers often turn to us if their clients need help with:• Releasing equity from their house• Planning for long-term care• Arranging a mortgageNo matter what profession the introducer is, I always fully involve them in the advice process as I respect their existing relationship. I also guarantee no cross-selling and split fee’s at pre-agreed levels. For all clients, including my own, I use straightforward language as this obviously helps me understand their needs but, moreover, helps them understand the options available. 30 years of financial advice has taught me that clients are happier when they fully comprehend the reasons why the advice is what it is and/or when they are able to make an informed choice on their options.If clients are considering any of the specialist advice detailed above but have questions or need some clarity, I always offer a free, no obligation initial consultation so that they can explore all the options and outcomes in detail. This can be a face-to-face meeting, and at the client’s home if that’s preferred.I also offer a pension and/or investment review and advice service. Whether looking for growth and/or accumulating wealth pre-retirement or needing income and/or decumulating post-retirement, I offer a holistic and independent initial assessment of a client’s situation which will include my initial advice. If required, ongoing advice can also be provided to ensure continued suitability of the initial advice, and that it remains tailored to suit individual needs.
