I am an experienced leader who has worked in multiple industries and disciplines. I believe in the power of people. Nurturing trust is the most important thing you do as a leader. Many leaders today have lost their way and need to get back to focusing on people over profit. If you build the right culture within an organization, where people can be their highest self, the profit will come. In fact, I believe the profits will be multiplied. I believe many organizations are not choosing the right people to lead. Leaders need to be selfless. Hiring a highly skilled person who does not understand this may get you results, but the selfless leader with less skills may actually be the better choice. Leading is done by example. If the example you give is you are all about yourself, that is what your employees are going to do as well. A culture like that is toxic. There will be no trust and you will never be able to harness the full potential of team. Leading with love promotes an environment of creativity, togetherness, and frees individuals to give themselves to the team.
