My most recent role was as a Senior Structural Engineer for Richard Tant Associates Ltd, managing a team who delivers structural designs, calculations and drawings for high end residential and commercial projects throughout London, UK. In this role I managed multiple projects in various design stages, requiring excellent communication with the architects, stakeholders and project teams, to deliver the project on time and to a high standard. I have an advanced knowledge of all the standard construction materials and their design to the relevant Australian Standards, British Standards and Eurocodes. The previous role I held was as a consulting structural engineer and project manager in Gladstone, QLD. My main role was to provide structural audit reports, structural designs, engineering sketches and project management for mine infrastructure and local industry. This includes structural inspections of all steelwork, fixed mechanical plant and concrete structures as well as providing engineering design, advice and consultation on maintenance procedures. In this role I also project managed a fire water system install for Anglo Americans’ Dawson Mine. My previous role with Transport and Main Roads involved managing the design and construction of traffic improvement and road resurfacing projects for projects up to $10 million. While studying at the University of Queensland I worked part time as a site engineer on the Boggo Road Busway, a $170 million project delivered by an Alliance with Transport and Main Roads, Thiess and SKM.
