Leading the in-house legal function for ISS Facility Services across Australia and New Zealand, with responsibility for managing risk across our commercial, employment, privacy/data and corporate governance obligations. A member of the Country Leadership Team, who works as a trusted partner of the operations, providing pragmatic advice and guidance to explore ways to achieve the best commercial outcomes while mitigating risks and ensuring compliance.

Responsible for the development, implementation and delivery of ISS’ employment relations strategy to support business objectives in accordance with the ISS HERO values through:• Maximising the productivity, efficiency and cost competitiveness of ISS’ industrial instruments, including responsibility for enterprise agreement negotiations• Minimising employee claims and industrial disputation, including managing significant workplace change and ensuring compliance with consultation obligations• Representing ISS in the Fair Work Commission and other tribunals to defend employee and union claims and disputes• Developing relationships with key stakeholders, i.e. unions, clients and Government agencies, and acting as ISS’ primary contact with external parties for employment relations matters• Supporting Operational and National People Managers with employee and union relations issues, including interpretation and advice on industrial instruments, ISS policies and legislation • Developing and implementing divisional strategic employment relations plans to assist ISS in its goal to become the world’s greatest service organisation• Ensuring compliance with legislative and industrial instrument obligations• Developing and delivering internal employment relations training

• Representing members in State and Federal tribunals in relation to unfair dismissals, discrimination and harassment claims, disputes, enterprise agreement approvals and trading hours applications• Key Client Manager for Myer, Coles, Woolworths, Kmart, Super Retail Group, RACQ and Target• Representing the retail sector on various government and industry committees as well as drafting industry submissions and lobbying government

• Advising and representing members in relation to unfair dismissals, discrimination and harassment claims, disputes and enterprise agreements• Developing and delivering training on employment relations issues • Representing the hotel industry on various government and industry committees and boards
