When I joined the company, we desperately needed to “scale up to keep up” with our growth. Leveraging my own onboarding experience, I demonstrated that it would take us nearly 3-years to hire and onboard the staff we needed immediately! So, I revamped the preexisting interview & onboarding processes, removing bottlenecks that delayed decision making, and achieved our staffing goals in 1/3 of the time.● RocketHub's partnership with A&E Television. Together we launched “Project Startup” designed to raise the profile of companies fundraising through RocketHub and provide valuable exposure through A&E and partnerships with A&E celebrities. Spira Shoes raised over $50K on RocketHub and created a co-branded shoe with A&E’s hit TV show Duck Dynasty. Through “Project Startup,” RocketHub received press and promotional airtime worth millions of dollars, which led to additional partnerships, and eventual acquisition.● Overseeing the relocation of Venture For America’s signature program, Training Camp, from Providence to Detroit. The Fellow class size had grown from 20 to 150 in 5 years, and we were about to hit 200! This was a long term, cross-functional project that required creativity, team management, and problem solving, and resulted in significant cost reduction of the program and increased impact on one of our target cities (Detroit). I brought the team together to codify needs, establish a method for evaluating potential locations, generate robust proposals, evaluate those proposals, then increase funding to cover the cost differential between the two best options.
