Hello, my name is JEE WON PARK, and I recently worked in the Overseas Business Division at DAISO Co., Ltd for five years. I have sourced and developed 276 new customer-focused products from low-cost countries in compliance with the company’s flat price policy. I purchased and managed more than 700 kinds of products especially from Southwest Asian countries and administrated the classified 8 main product categories. Also, while managing 52 overseas companies, I stabilized on-time delivery date rate of stainless-steel kitchenware items year on year from 54% to 91%.Next, I performed cost reduction of improving cost rates 3.6% during 2018~2019 throughout “Target Costing” progresses. I sorted out the most steady-selling and re-orderable items and successfully conducted price and contract negotiation of a total of 110 items. Besides, I discovered methods to reduce unit prices of products such as, changing packages to economical ones or placing orders from equivalent categories to fill out a single and full container which led to cutting shipping costs.In addition, as I also worked as team manager for almost a year at DAISO, I learned how to successfully communicate and work effectively with both team members and the management. Working as a team leader made me cultivate strategic thinking skills, as I rationally distributed tasks to team members, encouraged them to work effectively through choice and concentration strategies, and built a cooperatively working environment. As a result, I have successfully carried out 17 strategic sourcing projects using my teamwork, interpersonal, and cooperation skills, along with adaptability and flexibility.Lastly, I can say that I am a self-motivated, reliable, and passionate worker who has a strong sense of responsibility. When I was promoted to team leader I had to face difficulties since one of my teammates resigned at the same time. However, I only focused on my team’s year’s business goals and kept moving forward which led me to proactively manage risks and resolve problems. Consequently, I successfully completed all given tasks and accomplished team objectives such as leading my team to grow 72% year-of-year which contributed me to be awarded as “Employee of the Year”.
