I am a lifelong trainer. Starting with my first job in high school as a swim instructor, I came to realize that I love assisting others in realizing their potential in things they never thought was possible. Throughout my career I have been a trainer, even if not formally designated as one. As a Peace Corps volunteer in Water Sanitation and Hygiene Education, I learned how it is just as important to know what you don't know, as it is to know what you do know. Sometimes the expert you should consult is the person or group you are training! As an employment specialist for Housing Forward, listening and observation was crucial in assisting clients in accomplishing their career goals.
