Primary Role : Overlooking all key financial/strategic operations of the company, directly reporting to the Chairman/Board of Directors.1. Responsibility for the overall financial stability of the company with a focus on revenue management, capital management, cost structures/control, cashflow management, debt structure etc.2. Presentation and evaluation of Annual Budgets/ Company Performance/Strategic outcomes at the bi-annual Board Meeting, summarizing income statement/balance sheet situation and providing responses to any queries made by the Board with subsequent implementation of outcomes/strategic decisions from the Board.3. Direct reporting supervisor for the Accounting, Finance & Valuation teams of the organization including all audit activities4. Evaluation and timely sign off of all monthly management accounts of the company. 5. Adherence to all key Regulatory / Tax requirements relating to the company6. Preparation of all fund level accounts7. Experienced in all Mutual Fund operations from both regulatory/external and internal aspectsSecondary Role : Fixed Income fund manager1. Funds managed – Comtrust Money Market Fund, Comtrust Gilt Edged Fund, Comtrust Adl Mudarabah Fund.2. FI private portfolio Manager3. Overlooking Equity Investments / Research functions including analysis, forecasting, valuations and fund level asset allocation decisions.

Whilst still undertaking financial research and analysis when required, I am exposed to a range of Corporate Finance and Investment banking including;• Company and project valuation• Equity and Debt instrument advisory and structuring• IPO and Private Placement management• Corporate Restructures / Mergers & Acquisitions• Independent Valuations and Mandatory OffersIn addition, due to my interest in designing and marketing, I am also directly in chargeof all document, report and presentation design for all projects undertaken by the company and related marketing activities.

Comtrust Asset Management (Pvt) Ltd is one of the oldest Unit Trust managementcompanies in Sri Lanka.I was hired as one of the 2 first members of Comtrust’s first ever research team. Initiallymy role comprised of in-depth quantitative and non-qualitative research companyresearch as well as the creation of various databases relating to company financials andcommodities. Subsequent job roles included management of;• Key research databases• All unit trust and private portfolio cash accounts• The flagship Comtrust Equity fund whenever the Chief Fund manager was not in.Towards the latter part of my tenure I managed 2 of the privateportfolios as well as being the Assistant Treasurer of the Unit Trust Association of SriLanka.
