Project EngineerBmd Constructions Pty Ltd Nov 2011 - Sep 2012Ulan Coal Mine NswInstallation of surface infrastructure for the Ulan Xstrata Coal Mine. This was a project that was commenced as a greenfield site and progressed to a Brownfield construction as coal mining commenced. Installed 4 x water tanks of 1.5 Megalitre capacity each, 1 x 250 K litre Potable water tank and a raw water tank. The reticulation from the tanks to the 4 x pump skids then to the surface and underground facilities were supplied to alow mining to commence. The electrical facilities included an 11kV RMU, 2 x switch room facilities, area lighting, a vehicle servicing bay and a diesel fuel tank storage and pumping facility. The position was to provide engineering solutions to achieve the installation of equipment, preparation of JHA's, preparation of permits to work, liaise with the electrical subcontract to co-ordinate construction and preparation of QA for hand over to the client.Responsible for commissioning of equipment and handover to clientValue of project $10M +.
