I led the delivery of Police, 911 dispatch, and community jail services for residents and tourists covering 4,811 square miles of land and sea. It was a privilege and blessing to serve the wonderful people of Sitka. A community of great diversity and cultural history dating back 10,000 years. Amazing.

Management of Patrol Officers, Detectives, Detention officers, 911 Dispatchers, Animal Control and Multi-Services Officers. Provided leadership in the delivery of all police related services. My passion in this role was to create a new mission statement and supporting strategies to promote community wellbeing and community policing.

Provided leadership to 109 sworn police officers and additional civilian support staff in the performance and delivery of all police services.

Proposed, developed, and implemented the Special Operations Division. Directed and managed department personnel performing problem oriented, and intelligence led policing functions including youth violence prevention, community response to violent and bias motivated crime, police and community relationship building, recruiting diversity, and professional standards. My desire and goal were to stop crime before it happened and to improve the quality of life of all residents.
