This also includes development of a Coastal Flood Adaptation Strategy and a financial strategy to support the City’s Biodiversity Conservation Strategy;• planning, design, construction, operation and maintenance of district energy infrastructure for the City’s thermal energy utility, Surrey City Energy;• managing the Engineering Department’s Development Cost Charge (DCC) Program, including the calculation of DCC rates, the development and application of DCC policies and coordination of the DCC Bylaw with various City Departments;• coordinating the development of the City’s 10-Year Engineering Servicing Plan for the Utilities Division and Transportation Division; and• regulating soil deposition, erosion and sediment control permitting and the oversight of cross connection control testing and site inspections.
