Emmy and Edward R. Murrow Award winning Creative Producer based in Dallas, TX. I’ve worked for (and with): Film Production Companies,Post-Production Companies, Film Festivals, and Corporate Clients. I’ve even worked at an Ad Agency! Mostrecently as a lead creative for WFAA-TV, the 5-largest Local Affiliate in the country.Bottom line: I have worn many hats at a very high leves, occasionally at the same time. I came of age, so to speak, as a staff editor at Post Asylum. I’ve had the good fortune to work with many award-winning Agency, Corporate and Independent Clients as well as cut feature documentaries and music videos. My education there was invaluable, and I still consider myself an editor at heart to this day.Furthermore, I was able to learn aspects of the film industry I was unfamiliar with, most notably film festivals. As an ‘Industry Sponsor’, I was assigned to edit (and eventually concept) promos and other content for AFIDallas, DIFF, Asian Film Festival of Dallas. These experiences set me up perfectly a few years later to help the owners of the Texas Theatre (film school friends of mine) to launch the Oak Cliff Film Festival. I contributed tothe creative vision for OCFF in its first few years of existence. I left post-production in 2016 to return to my first love: production - well, sort of. I saw an opportunity topiggyback upon the DSLR Turnkey Revolution. Suddenly I was pitching to clients, writing briefs, creatingestimates, handling finances, managing employees and hiring crews. I was thrown into the deep end and,I'm proud to say, I always kept my head above water whilst creating some killer content. During this time,I also had the amazing opportunity to teach film editing at SMU for a year. Well, I couldn’t teach thereofficially (no MFA), so they hired me as a ‘lab proctor’. Needless to say, it was a very unique experienceand one I look back on fondly. Before going freelance again in late 2021, I joined WFAA here in Dallas as a Creative Producer. Not since myfirst full-time job, have I been able to add so many new tools to my toolbox: Brand Development, Copywriting, and Implementing Brand Guidelines. I think the most beneficial tool I’ve recently added is efficiency...like TVNews Efficient, without sacrificing my inner-film-nerd-sensibilities.In this modern world, deadlines are getting faster, but the expectation for cinematic-level quality isever-present...oh, did I mention I’ve worked with film?

Marketing ProducerWfaa Nov 2018 - Oct 2021Dallas, Tx, United StatesI was part of a 3-headed producing team who acted as the Creative Producers for the entire station. I was pushed a tad out of my comfort zone, having to learn new skills, but I added some invaluable tools to my arsenal - Copywriting, Implementing Brand Standards, Producing Live Events, and Promotions. Furthermore, I was the Creative Lead on numerous marketing campaigns, internal videos, and corporate (Tegna) sizzle reels. Eventually (due to COVID) I was able to produce long-form documentary-style pieces, including 2-award winning series - Rooted & While I Have Your Attention . -
Director, Creative Producer, Senior EditorOh Bother Productions Oct 2015 - Oct 2021Dallas/Fort Worth AreaDuring my tenure at SSR, I realized that I had accumulated enough skills to see projects from soups to nuts, so they say. I very much enjoyed having more of a creative voice and thrived in a leadership role. This also marks the time I was forced to become a more well-rounded motion graphics artist. Clients from this era include Mary Kay, Entrematic Fans , Baker McKenzie , Tuesday Morning , Carter Blood Care , Beyond the Green , and the Oak Cliff Film Festival.
