Career summary:Since graduation as a Naval Architect in 1982, I have completed a wide variety of assignments within the LR Group, starting with 5 years in Marine Division. In 1987, I transferred to LR’s London-based Oil and Gas Division and progressed through business development to management of major new construction third party service contracts. I have specialised particularly in service delivery as part of the client’s project team, including assignments such as the BHPP “Griffin” and Texaco “Captain” projects. In 2004, I relocated to Perth to manage the LR Classification, Validation and Verification services for the Woodside “Enfield” project, then similar services for the “Angel”, “Vincent” and “Van Gogh” projects, being promoted to Energy Lead Surveyor in 2007. Promoted to Australia Energy Business Manager in 2008, then Australasia Energy Compliance Technical Manager beginning 2013. Most recently my role changed to Australasia Offshore Business Development Manager following a merger of LR's Marine and Offshore teams.Current position and responsibilities:Business Development Manager for Lloyds Register International Compliance services in Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea for the onshore and offshore Energy market. Responsibilities include Oil & Gas Regulatory (Validation, Verification, Certification and Classification) “Compliance” services, including business development, tendering, account management and fcustomer care for new construction, modifications and operational projects onshore and offshore. Duties also include preparation of Validation/Verification Schemes and a supporting role for the development of Energy sector and Corporate Project Management systems and procedures, together with managing and mentoring the Perth team.
