Facilitator to ensure that system and infrastructure changes are aligned with information security strategy. Expected to collaborate with peers and management in the IT department and business units to share the corporate security vision and to solicit their involvement in achieving higher levels of enterprise security through information sharing and cooperation. Provide information security advice and recommendations for implementing, monitoring and reporting on information security.* Work with the Information Security Officer to develop a security program and security projects that address identified risks and business security requirements.* Work with various stakeholders to identify information asset owners to classify data and systems as part of a control framework implementation.* Work with the Business Continuity Program Manager to assist and guide Executive Management Group in the selection of recovery strategies and the developing, testing, and maintenance of disaster recovery plans.* Provide information security risk and control guidance on designated technology platforms, including operating systems, applications and network security devices, in accordance with the defined policies, standards and procedures of the organization, as well as with industry best practices and vendor guidelines.* Perform threat and vulnerability assessments and provide information security risk and control guidance for remedial action, to ensure that systems are protected from known and potential threats and are free from known vulnerabilities.* Recommend the application of patches where appropriate and, at the direction of the Information Security Officer. Provide information security risk and control guidance to mitigate known control weaknesses, such as unnecessary services or applications or redundant user accounts, as a means of hardening systems in accordance with security policies and standards.

Accountable for ensuring continuity of computer system services for computer users by providing technical expertise, assistance, and project coordination necessary to install computer software products, modify/repair hardware and resolve technical problems. Work is varied in nature with changing priorities to support overall team requirements. Position Accountabilities* Provides computer/network support relating to software and hardware problems reported by users.* Maintains an adequate level of knowledge of operating system and application software being used to provide high levels of support to users. * Monitors and evaluates efficiency of software/hardware usage, providing items to be covered in training of users, making them more efficient.* Installs new software applications or hardware on the LAN, coordinating assistance from third parties when necessary.* Completes work orders such as installing equipment, connecting and moving devices. * Adds and maintains users on the network; assigning application access, ensuring security, and maintaining their configurations are within standards.* Provide technical assistance and advice to users as needed. * Utilizes technology to provide staff with a fast accurate and secure method of gaining access to information so they can service the member in the fastest and most efficient manner possible. * Perform additional functions as needed, such as First level overflow.* Work with IT teammates to research and document problem resolutions.* Work independently to research and resolve technical issues.* Work with IT teammates in researching and writing technical documentation.* Maintain knowledge of IT roles and responsibilities.* Performs other related duties as assigned.* Assist with maintaining hardware / software inventory.
