My freelance association with Canada's weekly music industry trade magazine began in Toronto in 1988, and continued in Vancouver from 1990 onwards as west coast correspondent, columnist, reviewer, feature writer and consulting editor. I was The Record's senior managing editor in its final two years as a print publication.

Full-time editor of The Music Scene/La Scene Musicale, a magazine published in English and French editions for songwriter and composer members of the Performing Rights Organization of Canada (1983-88). Staff positions with the federal Ministry of Transportation (1978/79), the Canadian Institute of Travel Councillors (1979/80) and the Global Television.
