I've worked in the meteorology field since 2007, joining Sonoma Technology in early 2019. I'm currently responsible for providing daily air quality forecasts for local government agencies in the United States and Mexico. Local government agencies have relied on my air quality and meteorological knowledge for decision-making support, and I have assisted agencies in training air quality forecasters. A variety of national platforms have also relied on my expertise, with appearances ranging from The Weather Channel to MSNBC, and quotes in The Washington Post, San Francisco Chronicle, and New York Times. I am the lead author on meteorology publications, and generate podcasts, videos, and social media content to raise air quality awareness for the general public.In a prior role at Sonoma Technology, I helped run the data management center for the EPA AirNow program, overseeing hourly data quality from national and international monitoring sites. I was responsible for handling AirNow inquiries from clients, stakeholders, and the public, and often helped with submissions of air quality data and large records requests.
