Worked alongside the underwriting and closing teams to facilitate a good experience for our customers. Initially started as an underwriter and helped develop the underwriting procedure when portfolio home equity mortgage responsibility came to our department. The first state audit resulted in accolades for the process we developed and straight-forward easy-to-understand approach to underwriting and train of thought we used for our customers. Transitioned to the Supervisor of Processing to use my underwriting experience to help the processors get a better idea of what underwriting was looking for as well as use my team building skills to break down the walls which had developed into an "us vs. them" mentality. Successfully launched the start up of the Columbus, Ohio loan fulfillment center.
