Fellside Boilerhouse Refurbishment Project, SellafieldThe project involved preparing a ‘Staged Approach’ assessment of works to be completed in six stages. To establish functionality of the Boiler Park through understanding of each system and to complete examination, inspection and testing such that there is absolute clarity on the work required to achieve that functionality.Upon completion of these stages, to complete Detailed Design, Construction and Commissioning of the plant.My responsibility involved preparing a fully defined and detailed schedule to support the necessary activities as required to complete the Project. Earned Value and Cost Analysis Reports also formed a major requirement with progress being reported fortnightly and monthly detailed analysis reports prepared for Senior Management.Additional Projects:SPP1 Process & Export Facility, SellafieldSite Storage Rationalisation Plant, AberdeenNew Plant Storage & Blending Facility, QatarReplacement Methanol Still and Integrated System dealing with excess HCI Production, RuncornRecovery of Slops & Transfer into existing Crude Storage for Refining at Stanlow.Eastman Chemical ProjectThe company secured a project with it’s client Eastman Chemical, Workington. The project in question involved an expansion of its existing 3 acetate tow spinning machines with an upgrade of existing filtration area, along with a new backwash system as well as an increase capacity of its existing distillation area to cater for required solvent recovery. Site preparation including site cabins, lay-down area, warehouse and Contractors compound and car park also had to be considered.
