After growing up on a dairy farm near Kakabeka Falls, ON, I decided to attend Lakehead University for a Honours Bachelors of Science. Upon the completion of my degree in 2007, I worked for the Food Security Research Network out of Lakehead University. Beginning in 2008 my wife and I purchased a piece of land near the family farm and began building a flour mill. I finished my contract with FSRN in 2008 and focused all of my attention on growing the business. We now grow 135 acres of wheat, rye, buckwheat and canola which we process on site. We have diversified into a variety of products which we retail and wholesale throughout Northwestern Ontario.
