Lead a team of 10 people responsible for determining when, where and how many distribution centers Wal-Mart needs to build in the US and International markets. Also responsible for DC to Store Alignments, DC manpower forecasting and emergency/contingency planning like hurricanes and other natural disasters.

Responsible for modeling, forecasting and demand planning for US Logistics networks. Team lead on the logistics redesign modeling as we take our ambient network from commodity based to velocity based. Also managed Planners responsible for International and US support networks -- Imports, Reverse, and Fashion/Apparel.

Responsibility for strategic (5-Year) logistics plans in Mexico, Canada, Germany, South Korea, China, Argentina, Brazil, Puerto Rico Japan and UK. Determined where Distribution centers needed to be built in Mexico, Germany, China and Japan. Spent 3 months in Japan as part of the Seiyu feasibility acquisition project, and later trained the in-country team.

Responsible for creation and presentation of the Logistics Five-Year Plan to executive committee including CEO and CFO for all US Networks. Received approval for over 20 DCs that would be built in 2001 through 2007.

Created, maintained and published DC manpower forecasts for the Wal-Mart grocery network. Responsible for DC to Store alignments considering Transportation, Operations, Replenishment and Real Estate constraints. The grocery network grew from 9 DCs in 1999 to 20 by 2001. Also responsible for Grocery Budgets in 1999 and 2000. Improved the grocery forecast from 15% to 5% in less than 1 year.
