Four Coal Fired Units February 2002-January 2003. Duties included: investigation of opacity and SO2 incidents,preparation and submission of quarterly reports to ADEQAir Department, tracked maintenance on all CEMS, performedlinearities and filter audits for CEMS on all units, conducted “Method 9” reads on all coal handling operations, assisted with Unit 1 Relative Accuracy Test Audit (RATA), and conducted background research for a possible update to Unit 4 Scrubber.Redhawk Power Plant, Arlington, AZ. Two 530 MW CC Natural Gas Fired Units January 2003-July 2003.Duties included: completion of Redhawk’s Hazardous Communication Program (HAZCOM), completed Electronic Data Reporting (EDRs) for the two business quarters and submitted EDRs to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), started Redhawk’s recycling program, monitored all production and monitoring wells for Redhawk’s Aquifer Protection Permit (APP), properly labeled the plant with National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA) labels, and worked on Emission Inventory for submittal to Maricopa County Air Division.Silverhawk Power Plant, Las Vegas, NV. One 570 MW CC Natural Gas Fired Unit August 2003-July 2004. Assisted plant personnel with commissioning via data collection on Combustion Turbine tuning, Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG) Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) Ammonia injection system, performed boiler water chemistry tests while commissioning Silverhawk’s Steam Turbine, worked on the Chemical Accident Prevention Program (CAPP) for Clark County Fire Department, and started the initial draft of Silverhawk’s Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) and Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure plan (SPCC).
