CurrentSection Chief - Resource Conversion, DEPResponsible for managing and overseeing the operations of more than 750,000 tons per year Transfer Station, a Material Processing Facility, a Resource Recovery Facility (RRF), two Landfills, and two Landfill gas-to-energy (LFGTE) and gas recovery systems. Ensure service and operations standards developed through contracts and intergovernmental agreements. Establishing clear expectations for safe operations, environmental compliance and efficient services for more than 1 million County residents. Ensure compliance with an environmental consent order for landfill remediation and oversee readiness to respond to debris management emergencies.Material Recovery Facility Manager (2014-2020)Perform professional staff analysis of nonstandard information including the interpretation of incomplete or contradictory data. Development and administration of contracts, which includes reviewing bids and proposals, contract preparation and processing, administration of funds, directing operational programs, and oversight of contractor performance. Conduct analysis and interpretation of administrative policies and procedures that form the basis for drafting decisions which affect a wide range of programmatic endeavors including substantive technical and operational aspects of various programs.
