• Reports to the senior research technician, manager and director. Responsible for assisting permanent staff with the daily operations at the Biobank
• Took part in every technical aspect of Biobanking and obtained a very comprehensive perspective understanding of how the Biobank functions as a whole
• Scanned and organized over 3,000 H&E stained slides and Tissue Micro-Array (TMA) slides using SCAN SCOPE XT (by APERIO) onto a digital slides database called SPECTRUM
• Troubleshoot problems concerning SCAN SCOPE XT on a daily basis and identified effective solutions to avoid problems
• Trained in operating a Tissue Micro Array (TMA) machine to construct a TMA paraffin block
• Trained in analyzing scanned H&E and TMA slides using simple algorithms in ImageScope and GENIE software.
