The main function was to drive the company's product strategy and ensure Infinity Holidays had the best product range and expertise to co-consult with retail. The right product and the right price was imperative and an integral part of the overall strategy. The main responsibilities included the analysis of reporting data to form coherent strategies and effectively communicate this information to internal and external partners. A passionate gatekeeper for the destinations of responsibility whilst keeping across the competitiveness of the product range, product gaps and market and destination trends. Holding strong relationships with all stakeholders including internal businesses, tourism bodies and suppliers. Offering guidance and suggestions to assist the Marketing, Brochure, Educational and Training teams to ensure the right product was surfaced and showcased.

Initially responsible for overseeing all the Mediterranean and Middle East countries within the Explore Holidays range. This included the procurenment of all product (sourcing, rate negotiation and relationship building with suppliers) and identifying product gaps. Fully understanding both market and destination trends was also essential.Brochure production (including copy, sourcing of images, creative input and design) was also a key component of the role at this time, along with training on the various destinations and product range. When Flight Centre Travel Group purchased Explore Holidays my duties evolved to procure the product on behalf of all their global wholesale offices based in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, USA, South Africa and the UK. This required me to proactively manage a selection of product suitable for each of the global wholesale partners, ensuring all sales and override targets and profits were achieved. The wrting and delivery of effective training modules was also a key element to the role in order to ensure our consultants were able to convert all enquiries presented to them. When the Europe Procurement Team's function was relocated to be based out of the London office a role as Product Specialist for Infinity Holidays Australia was created, which I accepted.
