Jeff Corbin is a board certified psychiatrist with 20 years of experience in clinical and community health settings. In private practice in psychiatry with an office in New York City since 1997, he is also staff psychiatrist at Hudson Valley Mental Health in Kingston, NY.Over the years in private practice, as well as in hospital and clinic environments, he has focused on working closely with select psychotherapists, social workers and other mental health professionals in providing an integrated, compassionate approach to mental health -- treating a wide variety of issues, including anxiety, depression and bipolar disorder, through effective medication management.Dr. Corbin was previously Medical Director at the Green County Department of Mental Health, and staff psychiatrist at Green Chimneys Residential Treatment Center in New York City. Originally from Queens, Dr. Corbin did his residency training in Psychiatry at St. Vincent’s Hospital, and received a Master of Public Health from the Mailman School at Columbia University in 2009. He was Director of Inpatient Services at St. Claire’s Hospital in New York and Medical Director of the Quest Partial Hospital Program at Hackensack University Medical Center. Dr. Corbin received his Doctor of Medicine and Surgery from SUNY Health Service Center in Brooklyn, where he also took additional electives in Consultation Liaison Services at St. Vincent’s Hospital in New York and San Francisco General Hospital, Division of HIV/AIDS. He received his undergraduate degree from the University at Buffalo.
