As Chief Operating Officer, I provided executive leadership for all Salem Hospital and West Valley Hospital operational areas. Salem Hospital is the largest private employer throughout Marion and Polk Counties. Working with others (board, management, staff and physicians), I was responsible for annual operating budgets in excess $300 million and consistently achieved and exceeded budgeted targets. I led the process to define the vision statement and helped develop the strategic plan and took a leadership role in implementing numerous strategic initiatives in the areas of finance, human resources, information technology and market share growth.

During my 16 years at Legacy Health, I held a variety of progressively responsible positions. During the early years, my roles were as Chief Financial Officer in 3 different hospitals within the system. In my last 10 years at Legacy Health, my roles progressed into an operational role with primary responsibility as the Administrator for one hospital (Legacy Meridian Park Hospital) and for key programs and services throughout the system.

Performed a variety of audit and other assignments for clients in the healthcare, forest products, high technology and utility industries. Earned my CPA license.
