At PayIt, I began as a member of the Quality Assurance team. Tasks included verifying stories and smoke testing web and mobile apps. We also worked with Mongo and/or PostgreSQL databases to ensure transactions were accurately persisted and reported. I worked with other QA engineers to automate the browser smoke tests using Selenium. After a year, I accepted a position on the Data and Analytics team. The Data team is responsible for daily client reporting using a mix of PySpark and Python script Glue Jobs. Client reporting consists of daily transaction and monthly analytics reports. I also prepared monthly billing reports for our internal Finance team. This was a manual process that I automated with Python and Jupyter Notebooks, saving days of work every month for the team. Other tasks include deployments to multiple environments via Jenkins, working with AWS console apps to diagnose issues and assisting other engineers with reporting and database needs.• Use PyCharm to manage reports framework and for database work• Use AWS Console to run monitor and diagnose issues with Glue jobs• Use AWS QuickSight to prepare analytics report for clients. At EyeVerify, I joined the Client Service team and assisted with remote SDK implementations and troubleshooting for a number of FinTech businesses across the globe, including various support of Android and iOS app and SDK installations and certifying devices upon manufacturer release. These tasks blended well with automated and manual testing. In my role at Strongheart Enterprises, I expanded my self-taught Objective-C and iOS programming to another level, and later also picked up Java and Android development. I took an existing audio-video equipment setup controlled by a 10-key device and revisioned it and built an iOS application to remotely control media players over WiFi with UDP commands. Intecam is a startup that used a Java Applet to allow the general public to stream a web cam to the Internet. My responsibilities included maintaining the codebase for the Applet and working closely with the C++ developer to incorporate audio into the stream.
