The position helps ensure the Gorgon BWI site team is trained and competent with adequate on island resources to respond effectively to emergency incidents.Training: Facilitates Cyclone Warden Training, Cyclone Warden Refresher, Cyclone Muster Assistant Training, General Alarm Site Muster Contractor Warden Training. Assist EMC with On Scene Commander Courses, Act as Role Player Team Leader during Level 2 and 3 EM Exercises. Cyclone SIP: Serves as duty member in CCC during Cyclone Ops including 24/7 staffing; In Stage 2 Cyclone Alert ensures CCC is fully operable; Undertakes communications checks with Production Camp and all Clusters Control Points on all Communication Nets, serves as coach and mentor to all Cyclone Wardens; Responds to and trouble shoots issues which arise during Cyclone Muster phase.Produces briefing notes and documentation for use by Cyclone Wardens. Conducts Cyclone preparation inspections of LNG site, MOF, Wapet Landing and Camps. Oil Spill: Assists EMC in liaison and coordination with ABU EM on Oil Spill Training and Exercises; on Island Refresher courses, practical field equipment and table top exercises. Liaises with WA Oil and Marine team on oil spill equipment inspection.Cyclone Preparation: Undertakes contractor site readiness assessments and follow ups; Provides expertise and guidance on tie-down requirements; Delivers Cyclone Warden Training; Delivers Cyclone Awareness Sessions.EM functional Support:Tasks and projects related to Downstream construction, BWI Port, BWI Airport, WA Oil, SIMOPS, Commissioning, general site alarm muster procedure, on shore drilling. Assists EMC with reviews and updates to EM procedures.

Attend all Fire, Rescue, Hazmat and Marine Oil Spill related emergencies.Provide advice on Confined Space Entry and Safe Working at Heights. Provide training on evacuation, presentations on extinguishing media, rescue technique, warden training.Provide emergency response for the Gorgon LNG Project on the “A” class reserve of Barrow Island. This includes; • Control of fire (industrial, structural, marine, aviation or scrub) • Rescue (from height, confined space, vehicle or mobile plant accidents) • Tier 1 and tier 2 offshore oil spill response Provide after hours coverage for environmental incidents involving fauna including relocation of venomous snakes or other hazardous fauna from worksites and accommodation areas and provide services for the protection of rare and endangered fauna. Provide industrial services such as; • Initial gas tests for contractors working in confined spaces or potentially hazardous atmospheres. • Review and provide technical advice to contractor personnel on rescue plans for working at heights and confined space entry as part of PTW system. Toolbox talks for contractor personnel on; fire extinguisher awareness, muster wardens, roll of the emergency response team, Tier 1 oil spill, snake bites, hydraulic rescue equipment and airbags. Fire Safety Services; • Conduct inspections of buildings to ensure compliance with the relevant fire safety Building Codes of Australia. • Conduct quarterly muster drills at accommodation facilities. • Conduct performance tests of firefighting systems. • Prepare emergency plans for response to bulk Dangerous Goods incidents
