Office: Responsible for ensuring accurate payments to customers and price quotes to customers via phone. Maintain cleanliness of yard. Coordinate hauling and load out ferrous material via truck to other scrap yards. Inspection of equipment to ensure proper operation, perform light repairs as needed. Development and training of employees to include training on equipment and grading of ferrous scrap metals. Ensure all safety regulations are adhered to.Non-ferrous: Grading and purchasing of scrap at non-ferrous scales in warehouse. Sorting and preparing of non-ferrous scrap for transfer to main warehouse. Development and training of employees in operation of equipment, duties in warehouse, and education on non-ferrous metals. Ensure all safety regulations are being adhered to. I took over the retail and ferrous operations at Trinity after they had been in operation for approximately 6 months. I instituted changes that streamlined the customer flow through the yard, eliminated the double handling of materials, and made the overall operation of retail and ferrous operations more efficient. Comparing March 1 through May 13, 2013, to the same time this year, ferrous intake is up 103%, non-ferrous is up 190%, and customer volume is up 90%.
