I worked at Marx|Okubo starting in 2008 and was responsible for a broad range of services including design and constructability reviews, property condition assessments, review of construction draws and verifying work in place, owner’s representation, periodic construction observation services, waterproofing repair design and drafting, forensic investigation and litigation, and construction administration. Additionally, I was part of the building envelope technical team with responsibilities including hygrothermal computer analysis, envelope design, forensic destructive testing and review, certified window and building envelope testing to AAMA and ASTM International standards, and assisting and testifying in building envelope defect and litigation cases.Some of my recent project types with Marx|Okubo included restorative repair documentation and budget analysis for waterproofing repair projects, owner representation for multi-unit mid- and high-rise residential developments, quality control water testing for newly installed windows, building envelope forensic review and documentation, owner representation on several bay area newly constructed commercial and residential properties, and construction evaluation and documentation for multi-unit residential litigation cases.

I was a team member within the design and construction team in the development of residential and commercial high-rise construction. Responsibilities included working as the owner’s representative between the general contractor, the designer’s of record, and other owner consultants, reviewing and acceptance of construction work, along with involvement in close-out procedure and documentation.
