Spending the first 25 years of my career in the meritocracy that is the semiconductor (computer chip) industry was a great foundation and a terrific place to learn how to create value for customers. Succeeding with hard driving technology execs wasn't accomplished with flash but with a lot of hard, smart work, showing your data and doing what you said you would do. This work ethic and drive, along with many years of senior executive and board level experience, have equipped me with the tools to succeed in any almost business endeavor.Today, I use those experiences and learned behavior in driving growth and success at our nanotechnology start-up Grolltex (for 'graphene-rolling-technologies'). As CEO, I am coordinating our strategy and execution in this new field and we have tremendous potential, not only with our materials and equipment expertise, but also with our new patented product designs made of graphene that we are creating for the wearables, life sciences and environmental areas. Our IP portfolio continues to grow and create value for us and our future looks very bright.
