Based in Ann Arbor, I work (remote) for Atlanta-based LAD Custom Publishing as their Marketing Manager. LAD has been active in the higher ed market for over 20-years and we partner with 900+ colleges and universities in the US & Canada. We strive to make education more relevant, engaging, and affordable. Our team continually provides the highest level of customer service in the industry by helping bookstores and faculty deliver low-cost, customized print and digital course materials to their students.Before joining LAD I was the Marketing Manager for another higher ed custom publisher (XanEdu) where I delivered multi-channel digital and print marcomm projects, including managing e-commerce on Amazon ($3.5m+ COGS 1P selling via Vendor Central) and Shopify. As XanEdu merged into the larger Scholarus group, I also helped with corporate positioning and K-12 projects.I returned to my home state of Michigan in 2016 after living overseas (Australia) for 11 years. When down under I worked for the Australian Institute of Architects, responsible for the delivery of a diverse program of continuing ed and professional development events, conferences and workshops. Marketing + communications to both AIA members and the built-environment industry, I also worked closely with universities' architecture programs to develop student engagement as well as the accreditation process with the AIA's education committee.Over my career I've enjoyed working in a varied range of places (Ann Arbor, Detroit, Chicago, Australia, the UK) and industries (design, publishing, architecture and government-funded social services). As a 'utility player' I combine campaign + budget planning with hands-on delivery in print, digital, video, social media, CRM, content, websites, e-commerce, and more. What do I do?
