Working with a talented team of designers at the Business Innovation Factory, I turn research into stories and data into graphics for a broad range of companies, organizations and institutions.

I taught several two-semester-long workshops in filmmaking at Rhode Island College. These courses focused on the basics of mise-en-scene, cinematography, editing, narrative development, and the use of sound. I also taught several sections of an introduction to film and film criticism course.

At RISD, I taught studio classes in interactive methods and media. The courses focused on using Adobe Flash and Actionscript to create compelling non-linear, digital stories and animation. in 2009, I mentored a pair of students on an independent study concerned with transforming/hacking early video games and video game consoles.

For three years, I was responsible for designing, developing and managing the agency’s digital communications. Working closely with the Director of Communications and Market Development, I conducted user interviews and research that informed the redesign of main agency website. Moving into production, I handled all aspects of visual design, content strategy and web development on the project.

At RIC, I was deeply involved in the day-to-day design, development, and maintenance of a large range of academic and administrative department websites. This position also entailed the creation of visual assets and style guides, project management, and copy editing. Working with a project manager and a web developer, I led the redesign of the main college website with the aim of improving navigation, visual consistency, accessibility, and extensible content strategy and web development practices.
