Responsible for overseeing day to day operations in the accounting department. Oversees the Strata billing, Watson Labour Management functions, cash machine and month end closing and reconciliation processes.I was selected as the Leader of the Quarter for Q2 in 2015I was honored to receive the Leader of the Year Award for the Fairmont Pacific Rim for 2015I was selected as a representative for the SUMMIT LDP leadership program for aspiring executives within the Fairmont brandAs a memeber of the accounting leadership team, I worked closely with our colleauges and we were able to increase our CES (Colleague engagement survey) score from 68% to 100% from 2014-2015I have worked on many projects at the hotel, which are new to Fairmont brand: in 2015 our region was the first to install the new CASD process of accounting, which has helped reduce labour by 1.5 EFTE's (effective full time employee) while still increasing the effectiveness of reporting. I have worked directly with the corporate team to help install reporting and processes that are now being rolled out across Fairmont's in North America. I was the point of contact on the installation of a new cash machine, which recycles floats/deposits and has automated the cash reconciliation process. The cash machine has reduced labour by a 0.9 EFTE’s, we have also reduced the retained tasks when compared to other cash machines in the region by over 50% (5 hours/week).By modifying the tools already available at the hotel, I implemented a process to enable the Oru restaurant to accept pay at the table pin and chip payment processing which has reduced credit card transaction fees by 0.25% in the restaurant as well as increased guest PCI (Payment Card Industry) security. Notably other hotels within the region are looking to adopt this process for their own operations
