• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders and partners to ensure the Zone is well-positioned to respond to a disaster or emergency.
• Identify risks, mitigation strategies and planning needs for emergency events and the interruption of critical infrastructure.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and partners to support business continuity and contingency plans that will enable the zone to continue operations during the failure of internal and/or external.

I have 6 acute hospital facilities and several community health and AHS office facilities that fall under my portfolio.Primary responsibilities include development and implementation of emergency response plans, education/training, conducting drills/exercises, incident response including zone EOC mobilization.

Functioned as part of a team of agency liaisons for Alberta Health Services in the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo Emergency Operations Center during the 2016 Ft. McMurray wildfires. Coordinated AHS resources with the RMWB. Resources included: (1) Mobilization of the temporary Ft. McMurray Urgent Care Center; (2) Restoral of Northern Lights Regional.
