I have over twenty three years experience in open pit mining through both operational (15 years) and consulting roles (8 years including secondments) covering a wide range of commodities including gold, iron ore, coal, copper, zinc and vanadium. Have current Queensland coal board medical and Standard 11 induction. Seeking Brisbane or FIFO ex Brisbane roles.The timing of the completion of my contract D&B role and effect of Covid lockdowns, restructuring and restrictions have led to minimal mining engineering FIFO opportunities ex Brisbane and hence have focussed on family and warehousing inventory control positions closer to home.I am very keen to re-establish a presence in the mining industry and prepared to undertake required software training to make sure my skills are current. Despite applying for mining engineering roles I have been working in warehousing and logistics roles to provide an income. I am highly skilled in mine planning (daily to LOM), mine scheduling (daily to LOM), open pit mine and waste dump designs, strategic analysis and evaluations (including pit optimization), project management, contractor management, pit dewatering, drill and blast design, mine closure planning and mining equipment selection. I also have experience in due diligence, operational technical studies and order of magnitude studies. My software experience includes and not limited to Surpac, Minesched, Vulcan, XPAC, Datablast and recent introductory training in both SPRY and Deswik. I am safety consious and hold a WA Quarry Managers Certificate with current first aid previously involved in site based mines rescue teams.
