Implement and oversee the activities of the state information management office. Serve as the primary staff advisor to the Adjutant General and senior executives on all matters pertaining to cybersecurity, information technology, compliance, communications, information assurance, publishing, and records management. Develop strategic goals and objectives that integrate initiatives into short and long term operational plans that align with those of the Department of Defense, Department of the Army, and National Guard Bureau. Implement policies, procedures and objectives to improve work flow and analyze program implementation. As the Designated Approval Authority ensure all activities comply with regulatory requirements (FISMA, ISO, NIST, etc). Develop personnel in order to improve production in the work center by teaching underutilized personnel additional skills. Supervise a staff of 38 professional and technical personnel.• Initiate daily contact with key leaders to proactively address potential issues. Initiate periodic engagements with other directors to identify concerns or projects which required additional resources • Improve IT service support and modernize equipment during periods of reduced funding and personnel by reallocating resources to ensure core business responsibilities were prioritized and sustained. • Collaborate with various stakeholders to start new Cybersecurity Protection Team and State Cybersecurity Board. Currently completing project to mature the cybersecurity environment in Georgia.• Invested in personnel by providing professional development courses such as ITIL, A+, SEC +, CEH, SANS, CISM, CISSP, Cyber Operations Planning Course (N9 ASI), PMP, etc.
