•Oversaw all aspects of the art department for a high volume promotional products supplier.•Analyzed, created and edited vector-based art for film output.•Contacted customers with problems and solutions regarding supplied artwork (fonts not outlined, photo or bitmap resolution, process vs spot colors, halftones, corrupt files, etc.).•Created and maintained custom templates for all products, adhering to brand guidelines/standards.•Typeset copy to enhance layout and maximize brand awareness, while using aesthetic judgement.•Proofread and verified copy and logo accuracy per job specifications.•Coordinated digital PDF proofs for customer approval via Photoshop (virtual "soft proofs") and line art drawings via Illustrator.•Output film to imagesetter upon customer approval, using Quark for color separations and Illustrator to trap, bleed, stroke or overprint where needed. Worked closely with pre-press team to resolve any film output quality concerns to ensure the silkscreens and/or mylar plates for pad printing were ready for production.•Created CMYK files for output via digital laser and label printers.
