Responsible for the overall HR operations of the College

I have the overall labor and employee relations responsibility for the college’s three locations. Employees are represented by the Pennsylvania State Education Association (PSEA).

I was responsible for employee and labor relations for the casino, hotel, and four (4) restaurants.The employees were represented by the Steelworkers (USW).

I was responsible for safety and HR at a chemical processing plant of alkaline battery solids (EMD).Employees represented by the Steelworkers (USW).

Overall Human Resources responsibility for 19 retail grocery stores - four (4) Cub Foods Stores in the Dayton, OH area, four (4) Save-A-Lots in the Dayton, OH area, six (6) Save-A-Lots in the Columbus, OH area, three (3) Save-A -Lots in Colorado and two (2) Lofino's stores in the Beavercreek, OH area.Employees at the Cub stores were represented by the United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW).

I had overall HR responsibility for the Dayton, OH area chapter.The chapter was non-union.

Human Resources Manager for a new telecommunicating call center for the hearing impaired.The facility was non-union.

I provided intstruction on resume writing and job search.

I was responsible for the overall employee relations at a metal fabricating plant (non-union).

I had the overall HR responsibility at the parent plant site in Lemont, and the Springfield, OH plant (William Bayley), manufacturer of prison windows and doors. I was originally hired for the Springfield, OH plant.Springfield plant employees were represented by the Ironworkers.I was present when company was bought out of bankruptcy in 1996.

I conducted new employee orientation, represented the company at unemployment hearings, and conducted employee morale interviews. I was the primary interviewer during a period of company growth (tripled employee population) and new company acquisition. I became a certified welder in order to aid interview process. I was responsible for the overall HR responsibilities for the four (4) distribution centers of Browning Manufacturing.I was located at and had the HR responsibilities for the main distribution center in Eaton, OH and also had HR responsibilities for the centers located in: Reno, NV, Dallas, TX, and Atlanta, GA.All centers were non-union.

I conducted interviews of new hires for a manufacturer of residential heating and air conditioning units.I was responsible for administering the attendance program for the plant and was the lead for the employee United Way campaign.I oversaw a layoff per the union contract.I was the project lead for a compliance issue and its resolution.The employees were represented by the Sheet Metal Workers union.
