I was selected by Virginia Tech's Mathematics Department to fulfill a "peer mentor" role in a new class intended for freshmen mathematics majors. I directly collaborated with and assisted the teacher that instructed over 100 freshmen and transfer students about getting acclimated to college life and what to expect as a math major. I was responsible for grading papers, working with other mentors, and giving various talks in front of the class.

My duties as a Tutoring Lab Supervisor at Virginia Tech's Math Emporium included assisting students with 1000-2000 level mathematics courses on a walk-in basis, ensuring that other tutors adequately perform their duties, and providing feedback and assistance to the other tutors as necessary. I started out in the Fall 2013 semester as a staff tutor and got promoted to a supervisor position for the beginning of the Fall 2014 semester.

My role at Jefferson Lab consisted of both understanding and performing a Higher Order Modes (HOM) survey on the 7-cell niobium cavities within a cryomodule at the Continuous Electron Beam Accelerator Facility (CEBAF). After taking data directly from the cryomodule in the accelerator tunnel with a vector network analyzer, I would use this data in obtaining quality factors in order to assess each cavity's performance. The quality factor for each cavity needs to be within a specific range so that beam break-up instabilities are avoided.

While an employee at AMC Theatres, I worked as a cashier in the concession stand and cooperated with coworkers in order to achieve a maximum level of customer satisfaction. Additionally, I was responsible for cleaning theaters after each movie showing and making sure it was prepared for the next showing.
