I practice exclusively in the area of business immigration law. I have 27+ years of extensive experience representing technology, life science, and entrepreneurial businesses regarding all visa matters, as well as permanent residency applications. After managing the immigration law sections at two nationally recognized law firms for 11 years, I opened my own practice in 2011. My expertise includes: • The successful filing of thousands of H-1B and L-1 petitions, and more than 1,000 PERM Labor Certification applications. • Working with scientists and entrepreneurs seeking Extraordinary Ability, National Interest Waiver and Outstanding Researcher permanent residence classifications. I have published three articles on Science magazine's web site regarding green cards for high-level scientists. • Helping entrepreneurial founders and investors understand and implement effective immigration strategies. I serve as a mentor to MIT, Harvard, TechStars, Startup Leadership Program, and Mass Challenge start-ups. • Advising foreign investors re: EB-5 investments. • Assisting elite foreign athletes in navigating the U.S. immigration process. I am the founder of Athletes Worldwide LLP. As a leader on immigration policy at the state level, I conceived of and drafted a working outline for the Massachusetts Global Entrepreneur in Residence Program in 2014. The program has been adopted by two Massachusetts governors as part of a plan to assist the best and brightest foreign nationals who come to Massachusetts universities in remaining in-state to thrive as entrepreneurs and create jobs. I also serves as the chair of the Governor’s Advisory Council on Refugees and Immigrants.I am a frequent speaker on business immigration law at national conferences and at universities across the United States.
